Making Online Stores really work

Being in the web development business for a few years made me realize several things. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that you can’t have online stores or any other site that handles money in some way without a proper credit card processing system. And when you decide to accept credit cards at your site, you need a merchant account, such as the ones from onlinechecks.com.
Any attempt to bypass credit cards will result in lower sales because people usually want to pay at the same time they’re buying a product or service, not later or by using alternate methods (like going to the bank for a bank transfer).
