A few weeks ago, I joined SocialSpark and I must say I am really happy about the way this website is working and the quality of the advertisers it features. And I’m not alone in this. I met a few other bloggers from different parts of the world and I was surprised by the number of mommy bloggers who chose this website to earn some cash by writing articles on their own websites.
Up until a few years ago, blogs used to be visited (and authored) only by people who were very knowledgeable about the internet. Now, many others (interestingly moms) are recognizing the power of the Internet and most of them are taking advantage of the blogging trend and, at the same time, earn some money through their blogs.
IZEA, best known for its PayPerPost service has recently launched a new service called SocialSpark. This new service may look like PayPerPost but it has some very important differences. First, it is a website that integrates sponsored posts, blog sponsorships (more on this below) and opportunities called Sparks (free of charge for advertisers). Bloggers and Advertisers can create their own profiles so the website also works as a social network.
The best thing I like about SocialSpark is that my blogs do not get their ranking affected as all links must have the NOFOLLOW attribute. This means that Google will not lower your blog’s ranking if you post paid articles. This service is great for bloggers as they can keep in touch with other bloggers through the website. This comes in handy for mommy bloggers, as they can earn money without leaving their homes just by writing sponsored posts.
Another distinctive feature is that SocialSpark also provides bonuses to bloggers who write the best, most convincing post. Think of it as an incentive to be creative about what you write. In my opinion SocialSpark has the potential to become a great marketplace and if it gets going once it comes out of beta, it will revolutionize the advertising/blogging industry.
My experience of using SocialSpark has been great, all around. The approval of posts is a quick process, similar to the one used in PPP. If for some reason the post isn’t approved, bloggers get clear directions on how to fix it and then resubmit it. Nobody’s perfect, after all.
In short, I highly recommend that you sign up for SocialSpark, especially to the mommy bloggers out there. Blogging is something you can do in parallel with raising your kids managing your home. SocialSpark is growing at giant steps and will soon have more offers, so stay tuned and start warming up your fingers…
