As mentioned before, my wife and I started
to learn ballroom and latin dancing a few months ago (link: To
Struggle Is A Gift
), so we are both avid watches of the BBC TV
programme, Strictly Come Dancing. We love it!

A really entertaining show and not just because of the great dancing but
because of John Sergeant’s quick wit. I believe he nearly decided to have a
career in comedy and I can understand why. He is so fast with his one-liners.

Well the show has lost a great character in John as he decided to quit
yesterday. Ok, he was the worst dancer, I agree. However, he was certainly not
the worst entertainer, by far. Some of the other celebrities are a bit D U
double L, DULL (as Craig would say).

The ultimate question:

Was he pushed or did John quit?

I’m not sure but I would not be surprised if he was pushed. He was getting more
publicity that the judges and Brucie!

I think both the judges and Brucie bullied John with their comments and now he
has gone I hope they reflect on their past criticisms.

Arlene Phillips said the John was “outstanding at dancing really badly”.

Craig Revel Horwood gave Sergeant the lowest possible score - one point - and said his dancing was a “disaster”.

With the public vote, I do think John could have won.

But the show must go on. My wife and I shall continue to watch. The judges will
continue to argue and some of the celebrities will continue to be dull - all
great entertainment but we will miss John.

Good luck, John, we shall miss you.
