A horror film for the blood-thirsty

This post doesn’t really match the contents this blog, but being a fan of horror movies, I couldn’t stay away from the controversy generated around the new Horror Movie Frontier(s).

The cool, blood loving guys over at Bloody-Disgusting got a hold of two trailers for the latest in After Dark Horror Fest’s line of indie flicks, the French shocker Frontier(s), which appears to be a “Hostel meets something even more scary” kind of movie.

The trailer site is very slick and very well designed, making it very simple for you to move around the site, and watch clips. One thing I must warn you is that this film is unrated and the contents of the site are very very graphic, so you should not watch this if you’re a sensible person or if there are minors around. Having said that, if you like horror movies, you owe it to yourself to visit the site.

The synopsis from Bloody-Disgusting describes the movie as:

UnknownA gang of young thieves flee Paris during the violent aftermath of a political election, only to hole up at an Inn run by neo-Nazis.

It’s not exactly a novelty script, but it does reek of classic horror plot, so I can live with it and moreover, get involved in the plot. Frontier(s)will be given a limited run on May 9 in a few selected theaters, with a DVD right behind it on May 13. At least in the trailer, the movie looks really raw and violent, so I’d kill to get my hands on a ticket. Unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near any of the theaters it will be shown in, so I guess I’ll just have to content myself with the DVD, and as soon as we get my hands on one I’ll post a review here.
