Often managements do months of work in planning and implementing business changes across the organization or team. But many of these changes never get good response from employees, who were supposed to implement the change. There are different factors which governs a employees resistance. Some common negative reactions are noted below.

  • Unwillingness to adopt a new change. They think world is perfect in present situation.
  • Feeling awkward in learning new things. Often they face a situation with pre-decisions.
  • Fear of adoption to change because of fear of loss. They are doubtful peoples who are not sure about achieving the goal.
  • Fear to loss some thing. This is an interesting and common thing; many peoples resist changes only because they have to loss some silly habits or benefits, even if bigger things they can achieve with the change.
  • Loneliness. Many employees think the change can most inversely affect them; even if that make same effect on all (most) team members.
  • Jealousness. Yes, this is true; many employees won’t adopt a change just because it is most beneficial for one or more of his team members.
  • Fear of adoption to change in assumption of resource problems. Many staff underestimate the resource they got.
  • Opposition against pressure. Fighting against pressure factors is a basic human nature, but some persons go to the extremes.
