Although this blog isn’t really about construction or building planning, I thought it would be useful to some folks in California, who are considering how to best manage the removed soil and at the same time, how to block access to dangerous places, such as pits and foundation sites. The answer? A temporary concrete barrier made of concrete k-rails.
K-Rails have been used all over the world for such things and many mone: Define and Rock, Sand
& Recyclables in Storage Areas, barricade dangerous areas, etc. In California, such a barrier rail type K (that’s why they’re usually called K-Rails) is the de facto standard of the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for building secure, temporary and mobile barriers in roads, construction sites and the like.
Jensen Precast has been manufacturing and renting k-rail for since the 1980s and have been in the precast concrete business for over 50 years now, making them the most reputed source for K-Rails or any other precast concrete product in all of California and sorrounding states.
Building a house, bridge, skyscraper, etc. relies on one thing: a very stable and strong foundation. The foundation of your construction has to support all the weight, vibration, etc. of everything else so it must be built using the best materials (usually concrete) so it can withstand anything from the daily movement of people inside it to the strongest wind.
Since that day in 1968, they have expanded and they now have 13 inventories houses across the US, with every possible concrete-based product you could ever need, from reinforced concrete blocks to state-of-the-art
All of Jensen’s manufacturing facilities are National Precast Concrete Association certified plants, one of the reason why their products are of superior design quality and safety. Expansions are growing as well and Precast Concrete manufacturers are now serving California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii. They also haveĀ an Engineering Department, designed to assist you in choosing the products that best fit your project, as well as helping you to make design and building decisions at any time during your projects.
