This post is inspired on the fact that I heard over the radio that it was Cher’s 60th birthday just a few days ago, so Happy Birthday Cher!
Over the years I have observed, from time to time, some kind of blurb about Cher, either on newspapers or magazines and TV. Sometimes it’s a news story, sometimes it’s a commercial, and probably once or twice it has been a show about the history of rock and roll. Many times, however, there’s a lot of buzz about her outrageous costumes that bring to our minds the sexy Halloween costumes that you can buy over the Internet.
I happen to think Cher is one of the most talented people on the face of the earth, but I cringe when I see her risqué costuming. I don’t think she needs to show that much skin to draw the crowds; her talent does that for her!
But I drifted from my original idea… I wanted to talk about costumes! I love costumes, and Halloween costumes are just my favorites. I love to have several different costumes hanging in my closet, ready to pull out at a moment’s notice to wear.
My friends and I throw costume parties several times a year, not just at Halloween, so I need to have several on hand. And I really don’t like just wearing the same one over and over again, so I need to have several that I can rotate around.
There is a website called Costume Cauldron that sells a large variety of great costumes that I like to look at when I decide I’m in the mood to buy a new, unseen costume. I’ve always had a fetish with show girls dancing the can-can, so I am thinking that the next time I buy a costume for my wife Patricia, it might be the Moulin dancer costume and make my fantasy come true. I’ve also always loved Tinker Bell from the story/movie Peter Pan. I’d love to have a Tinker Bell costume! Kinky, huh?
